Federal prosecutors had requested leniency for Tringalio who helped investigators and testifiedagainst co-conspiratord and business consultant Larry Nardelli, owner of . Nardellki was convicted in February of conspiring to commitmortgage fraud, money laundering and making false statements to but he has not yet been sentenced. Seveh financial institutions — , , , , , and were defrauded through bogus realestatew transactions, according to court records. At Tringali’s U.S. District Judge James D. Whittemors ordered a forfeiture judgmentof $6.9 million. But the judg e hasn’t yet determined how much Tringali should payas restitution.
Tringali, who’w represented by attorney Todd Foster, pleaderd guilty Nov. 3 to making false statements to lending institutions to obtain loanws that were to be used to acquire and developvacant land. Tringali conductedc business in Sarasota and Manatee countieds asthe owner, or part owner, of G&r Land Development LLC, Steeplechase Properties LLC and LLC. Sarasota attorney John Yanchej pleadedguilty Feb. 27 in the but he later asked the court to vacate the order to allow him to remain gainfully employed as a lawyerf until his May11 sentencing, records Judge Whittemore denied his request. Neil Mohamex Husani, the accused mastermind of the scam, is awaiting extraditio n from Jordan.
